Dream is a limited-edition sculpture which takes its inspiration from a well-loved children's book that has special meaning in Michael's own life and home.

Michael Aram's limited edition sculptures are handmade artistic explorations inspired by objects and ideas that capture Michael's imagination. These sculptures are limited editions of 500 pieces each, and each one is individually crafted so that no two are ever exactly alike.
"This sculpture is probably the most personal of all for me. It is inspired by a children's book called Papa, Please Get the Moon For Me by Eric Carle, which is a bedtime favorite in my house. In the story, a girl dreams of dancing with the moon and her father begins a wondrous journey to bring it down to her. It's a simple but magical story that reminds us all to dream...that in the world of our imagination, all things are possible. In my work, I chose to put a pillow and Piggy (my son's favorite stuffed animal that he can't sleep without) in the bed, suggesting that, while dreaming, the entire bed transforms into an immense ladder... tall enough to reach the moon." -M
